Apertis Free Software Guidelines

The Apertis licensing is based on the Debian Free Software Guidelines (DFSG).

On top of the DFSG, Apertis adds it's own rules. Those rules are detailed in the APERTIS license expectations. This document also explains what kind of auditing is done when importing packages from upstream, how exceptions should be documented, what kind of source scans are done and when.

In some specific situations, Apertis has to do some exceptions that are documented in the APERTIS license exceptions.

The APERTIS license expectations is the canonical source of informations about Licensing in Apertis. Make sure to check it first.
