The Apertis licensing is based on the Debian Free Software Guidelines (DFSG).

On top of the DFSG, Apertis adds it's own rules. Those rules are detailed in the APERTIS license expectations. This document also explains what kind of auditing is done when importing packages from upstream, how exceptions should be documented, what kind of source scans are done and when.
